To kick off bridal market season, Bridal Guide was invited to attend the 30th annual DEBI (Distinctive Excellence in the Bridal Industry) Awards, a glamorous night of dinner and dancing at The Chicago Field Museum. Hundreds of designers and retailers gathered in black-tie attire to honor the best and brightest in the bridal industry. The gala was hosted by singer and Tony Award-winning actress Laura Benanti. We watched the nominees’ stunning designs float down the runway and enjoyed good drinks and great company as we waited for the winners’ to be revealed.
We'd like to give a big congratulations to Essense Designs, who took home three DEBI awards! Essense Designs was awarded Bridal Manufacturer of the Year for Essense of Australia, Collection of the Year (Design Innovation) for Stella York, and Design Excellence in Bridesmaid Dresses for Sorella Vita.
Mon Cheri took home two DEBIs. They won the Social Occasion Award, and Joan Calabrese for Mon Cheri was the winner in the Flower Girl division.
Bel Aire Bridal won the headpiece category, while the Men's Formal Wear DEBI was awarded to Allure for Men.
Congratulations again to all of the winners!
