When photographer Liisa Luts, of Tallinn, Estonia, tied the knot, she decided to take a more authentic approach to wedding photography and skip the professional photographer in favor of capturing pictures from her own perspective throughout the day.

“We knew that we don’t want the stress and fuss about all the wedding related issues. We just wanted to make it legal and celebrate a bit,” Luts told PetaPixel. “That’s why we tried to avoid the wedding planning process in general and just go with the flow. And a valid part of that concept was my decision to shoot my own wedding.”

Her unique take on wedding photography documents from the time she woke up that day until she went to bed that night. "I just snapped a photo every now and then, as sincerely and straightforwardly as possible," she told The Huffington Post. "No planning or staging was involved, so it wasn’t inconvenient and didn’t take any attention away from the day itself."

"We just didn’t feel the need for a beautiful and more classical wedding gallery from third person’s perspective. We wanted something 'our own' and that’s what this series is about."
