You've probably seen our Bridal Fashion Week coverage plastered everywhere—in blog posts, live tweeting, Facebook albums, Tumblr recaps and Pinterest boards—but did you ever wonder what it must be like to actually attend a runway show? This past weekend, I had the opportunity to visit the Kenneth Pool and Amsale shows with my MOH and sister, Laura. We went on behalf of BELLA NYC, a bi-monthly beauty and wellness magazine. Amazing bridal fashion and my best friend—what more could a girl ask for?
Kenneth Pool
The Kenneth Pool collection was the epitome of high glamour: I saw lots of strapless, shimmery tulle gowns and embellished sheaths. The models donned blue eyeliner and sleek bobs, a nod to the 1940's. I was left breathless after seeing the Rio and the Elody, two very different, yet equally noteworthy designs. The Rio’s ruched bodice was complemented by an embellished natural waist. How incredible is that tiered tulle skirt? It shimmered as the model walked across the runway.
The Elody, a slinky tulle gown, broke the mold with its delicate, embroidered straps and seductive illusion keyhole back.
Amsale
The Amsale Collection exuded timeless elegance with a nod to today’s fashion trends. Laura and I were thrilled to see peplums, built-in jewelry, and elaborate bows featured in the Spring 2013 collection. The models looked effortlessly chic with bold, red lips and simple buns. Despite the many gorgeous full-length gowns that came down the runway, I found myself going gaga for the shorter cocktail dresses that were shown!
The Bella and Darby dresses convinced me that two dresses for your wedding are almost always better than one. The Bella dress features an elaborately-embroidered skirt, while the Darby dress turned attendees’ heads with its one-shoulder neckline and statement-making bow.

I left the shows yearning for my own wedding gown, a Christos design that I haven’t seen in person since February 2010. I am thankful that my first fitting is around the corner, taking place on May 1st. Until then, I will be spending many hours clicking through the gown galleries on BG.com!
Tell us: If you could attend any designer's show, which one would you choose?
