Sip, sip, hooray, it's almost the royal wedding day! Having a royal wedding watch party and want to serve something other than coffee and mimosas? Our friends from The Botanist Gin are here to get you inspired with some refreshing and creative concoctions in honor of Prince Harry and Meghan's nuptials.
When Harry Met Meghan
Equal parts gin and rosé, this elderflower and lemon cocktail is inspired by the Royal Wedding cake.
Ingredients:
· The Botanist Gin – 1.5oz.
· Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice – .75 oz.
· Elderflower Liqueur – .75 oz.
· Sparkling Rosé – 1.5 oz.
Directions:
1. Add The Botanist Gin, Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice, and Elderflower Liqueur to shaker
2. Fill with ice and shake
3. Strain into a champagne flute
4. Top with Sparkling Rosé
5. Garnish with lemon peel
This Is Not a Mimosa
Forget the basic OJ and champs–this cocktail is perfect for a bridal brunch celebration before the Royal Wedding.
Ingredients:
· The Botanist Gin – 1.5 oz.
· Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice – .75 oz.
· Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice – .5 oz.
· Simple Syrup – .5 oz.
· Prosecco – 2 oz.
Directions:
1. Add The Botanist Gin, Fresh Orange Juice, Fresh Lime Juice, and Simple Syrup to shaker
2. Fill with ice and shake
3. Strain into a Champagne Flute
4. Top with Prosecco
5. Garnish with your favorite spring flower or Orange Peel
High Noon
Skip high tea for a High Noon instead.
Ingredients:
· The Botanist Gin – 1.5 oz.
· Fresh Grapefruit Juice – .25 oz.
· Elderflower Liqueur – .75 oz.
· Tonic Water – 6 oz.
· Grapefruit for garnish
Directions:
1. Pour The Botanist Gin, Fresh Grapefruit Juice, Elderflower Liqueur into a highball glass
2. Add ice
3. Top with tonic water
4. Garnish with grapefruit peel
For those of you that think the royal wedding is too early for a cocktail, remember, you can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning.
