Private spots that are made for honeymooning, with sexy villas and top-notch dining to boot.

Guana Island

Of the 850 private acres, seven sandy beaches and 26 hiking trails, there is going to be something to do. Only 42 guests are on the island at one time, staying in the whitewashed private cottages, with stunning ocean views. WiFi is provided but televisions and telephones are not an offer, only immersing you more into the beauty of the island. Guana North Beach Cottage sits on the opposite side of the resort in a land of its own. Half of the island is yours to roam; a golf cart is provided in case you feel like coming back from heaven. Wildlife thrives on Guana: With miles of trails you are sure to spot some of the animals including an iguana, flamingo or a flock of pelicans. Since there's such a small guest list, there are usually group activities every night.

Rates: Your private getaway starts at $705 a night and includes accommodations, meals, snacks, water sports and on-island activities. Learn more at guana.com.
