- Kate Middleton's iconic wedding dress, designed by Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen, is set to go on display in Buckingham Palace from July 23 to Oct. 3, according to The Guardian. - American Idol Season 10 contestant Paul McDonald and Twilight actress Nikki Reed revealed their engagement on June 5 at the MTV Movie Awards after less than three months of dating. Us magazine reports that the ring Reed debuted at the awards is eternity-style, featuring full diamonds surrounded by intertwining platinum. We sense that this will be a fresh, new trend for non-traditional brides who don't want classic solitaires. Did we mention that McDonald is slated to perform with his band, The Grand Magnolias, at their wedding?
- DWTS' Karina Smirnoff has set her wedding date to baseball player Brad Penny. The couple will marry on Jan. 21, 2012, a popular date for BG brides getting hitched in the next year. The nuptials will take place in the Caribbean, although they haven't revealed the exact location. Meanwhile, Smirnoff must make a tough decision: narrowing her wedding dress picks down to one. "We're down to six, which is better than 20," Smirnoff told People. "You always have to look at the glass half full."
- Ivanka Trump has launched a new "truly green" bridal collection as part of her fine jewelry line that consists entirely of engagement rings and wedding bands made with sustainable diamonds and recycled platinum. Trump told WWD: "My belief is that every step an individual or a company can take towards being more environmentally conscious is another step in the right direction." We think Trump's commitment to sustainability and social responsibility is pretty cool, and we're excited to check out her collection.
