Whether you decide to spend your wedding budget on the trip of a lifetime (for two!) or save your pennies and take a trip to city hall instead, get inspired by these romantic elopements.

For some couples, eloping helps shift the focus from the wedding to the marriage. “We wanted our wedding day to be intimate and to be focused on our commitment to each other,” recalls Amy Bevilacqua, who eloped to Paris.
