Pinterest always serves up an enviable treasure trove of inspiration for all aspects of your life, especially weddings. They recently released their trend report for 2018, and here are the ideas we were excited to see in weddings.
Boutique Balloons
Balloons add a whimsical touch to your wedding, and this year, we're expecting to see more "filled balloons" — with glitter, confetti, and even foliage next year.

Tip of the Day: When deciding on the style of food service for your wedding, talk with your caterer to ensure you have the right guest to staff ratio, says Despina at Despina Craig Events. For example, a sit-down dinner is recommended to have one server per 10 guests, while a cocktail reception needs one server to about 25 guests. And, for a full-service buffet, the average double-sided buffet line can provide enough for about 100 guests, with one server per every 25 guests.

Tip of the Day: Far too often, couples overlook the music for the ceremony. Make sure you set aside time to sit down and think about what you'd like to hear as you walk down the aisle. "The traditional themes, while very beautiful, hold no special meaning and have been used thousands of times so listen to your favorite songs and themes from movies that you both love and those can help describe who you are as a couple," says Todd Smith, co-founder of Abiding Harmony.

Tip of the Day: Remember to offer your elder family members some important roles during the wedding. "While family life can be complicated and this is your day, your parents and grandparents have down an awful lot for you over the years," says Cat Greenleaf, owner of The Catskill Mountain House. "If they make some requests that you wouldn't have otherwise opted for, go for it. Or, ask their opinion on some important details to really make them feel like a part of the process."

Tip of the Day: Many brides misunderstand this all-important factor when it comes to choosing a ring. The karat actually represents the weight of the diamond says diamond experts at Angelic Diamond. "The cut of the diamond will change how large the karat weight appears, so it’s important to get a good balance of both so that your ring sits well on the finger, but also provides you with the shine and brilliance you need to make heads turn on your wedding day."
