Tip of the Day: Don't make the mistake of going alone to your hair and makeup trial! Bring along a friend to snap lots of photos of your "before," "during," and "after" stage from different angles. Not only do they make for fun keepsakes, but you can also get your friend's input in case you're not sure what changes you want to make to your hairstyle or lipstick.
Also, you probably already know that it's important to bring inspiration photos, but it's also just as crucial to tell your makeup artist or hairstylist what you don't like, so that they know what to avoid. For example, instead of just asking for a braided updo, be as specific as possible and explain that you're not a fan of tightly-gathered braids, and you want something a little looser and more romantic.

They got married in a traditional Catholic ceremony with a mariachi band, and their reception took place at a Latin art museum. We love the succulents, personalized table numbers and giant initial cut-outs! They also did the "money dance," a custom where relatives take turns dancing with the bride and groom, pinning bills to their clothing.

Tip of the Day: Take a few minutes before all the excitement of your wedding day to be alone and write a letter to yourself that you can open 10, 20 or even 30 years from now. "Life is full of ups and downs, and preserving a little piece of your wedding day, in your own words, might be just what the doctor ordered, one day down the road," says Sara France of France Photographers.
Plus, on your future daughter's wedding day, you can give her the letter and ask her to write her own. That way, this meaningful tradition gets passed down to all the future generations of brides in your family to read and enjoy!

Tip of the Day: When brides are nervous, they tend to clutch at their bouquets and rush down the aisle. Take a few deep breaths before you approach the spot where guests will see you for the first time. Instead of using the old-fashioned "step-together, step-together" method, which can look awkward in your wedding video, walk as you normally would, just at a slower pace. Keep your shoulders back, loosen up your arms and smile at your guests to acknowledge them (you don't have to stare straight ahead the entire time).
