Tip of the Day: If you’re not already close with your mother-in-law, start the bonding process now to pave the way for a happy future. Ask her to lunch, get a mani/pedi together, or just spend some one-on-one time with her when you're visiting with your fiancé. If she wants to be involved in the wedding plans, choose two or three areas where she can pitch in and invite her to do so. Deciding what you need help with and giving her specific things to work on will (hopefully) prevent her from pressuring you with her opinions on all of your plans.

Also, arrange for housesitters, petsitters and someone to care for your plants during your absence. Stop delivery of mail so that it's not evident that you're away.
