The City of Light served as the inspiration for this bride's breathtaking bridal shower.
By: Stefania SainatoBride-to-be Alicia came up with the idea for her Parisian bridal shower from the moment that her fiancé proposed to her. "I am a firm believer that a bride’s shower should be a reflection of who they are, so I tried to do just that with my theme. I feel Paris was the city where fashion and beauty blossomed, so I really wanted to incorporate that. My inspiration came from a quote by Coco Chanel: 'A girl must be two things: Classy and fabulous.'"
This muse also led to the stunning centerpieces shown here, which also served as table numbers. Alicia searched several Michael’s stores to find the perfect vase and printed out individual perfume bottle tags. She relied on florists Anne and Anne to select accompanying flowers, and was thrilled with their "brilliant" color choices.
After arriving from her hair and makeup appointments, Alicia walked into the room alone to witness the final result of all her efforts: "At that moment, I felt that I was living in a dream. For months, we were trying to envision what everything would look like together. But I don’t think I could have ever pictured what I saw that day—I was blown away and couldn’t have done it without the help of all the special women in my life [including Cristina, her sister/maid of honor, and her other lovely bridesmaids]. I love them!"
