The mid-century venue, Kingston House, is an expression of the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, made from timber felled and milled onsite, surrounded by 27 acres of diverse landscape, and a mere ferry ride from Seattle. Emerald Hour is an organization that works to empower creatives to keep sustainablity top of mind as they design events. Enter Hannah Paukstis, of Hummingbird Events, the creative force behind this microwedding.

Vintage Snyder chairs, owned by the venue, are accented with au naturel arrangements.

Clover Society Sign Co. created invitations using handmade seed paper, which, when planted, yields flowers.

The team opted to use a giant maple as the ceremony backdrop.

The elegant ikebana-inspired floral accents were sourced from local growers and designed to provide a graceful counterpoint to the more abundant installations throughout.

Gema Collective's grazing table was equal parts work of art and delicious spread, featuring local cheeses, produce and breads.

Locavore baker Alpenglow created the cakes and desserts. Even the colors used in the fillings and frosting were derived from fruits and berries.
