Being a bridesmaid can cost you a lot of money, but you can beat the budget crunch with a little bridal party mathematics.
Sample sale site ideeli.com, known for giving huge price breaks on everything from Dolce & Gabanna to the Dominican Republic, is launching their first-ever "Ready, Set, Wed!" event. The beauty of this sale is that it's not just gowns or accessories that are available—the veritable clearance pretty much encompasses everything a bride needs. My favorite? The adorable, personalized favors from Beau-Coup (at left); the gift giant has something for every type of couple. Also available include gowns from Bridal Guide favorite Da Vinci, Blush lingerie and garters, plus Thomspon of London cufflinks and an exclusive NYC-area photography deal. The sale starts at 11 am EST tomorrow, January 26, 2011, so you better hurry if you want to get your hands on the best stuff!

The St. Regis group of hotels is second to none, featuring sweeping views, luxurious rooms and tons of amenities, all set in the most idyllic of locations. For the opening of their 21st location, the St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort in Puerto Rico, the hotel group has launched a capsule collection of jewelry from designer Alexis Bittar. Bittar, who received the 2010 CDFA Accessory Designer of the Year Award, created the line as a contemporary nod to St. Regis founder Caroline Astor and her now-famous jewelry collection. Although Astor's affinity for diamonds and pearls are clearly taken into account on these designs, Bittar's signature lucite detailing can also be found in every piece. WIth prices ranging from $310 to $490, the designs aren't cheap, but are modern classics you'll love forever. Scoop up your fave now at alexisbittar.com.

Luxury e-tailer Net-A-Porter, known for carrying exclusive labels and hard-to-find styles, has just released their latest season of hand-picked bridal gowns. The site, which already has a dedicated wedding boutique (you can shop for you and your party!), carefully curates both white ready-to-wear and bridal gowns into one chic selection. Two of my favorites? This sweet silk-faille, embellished bow Jason Wu dress (far left) and the ultra-glam asymmetrical silk-satin wrap dress from Lanvin (near left). The best part about these sensational designer pieces? You really can wear them again.

I have a not-so-age-appropriate love for Mean Girls. I can’t get enough of the Toaster Strudel zingers, the hip mom and the overuse of “I know, right?”. Maybe it’s the fact that my doppelganger Tina Fey wrote and starred in it, but in all honesty, it’s the movie’s realistic approach to the dreaded Burn Book that really makes me appreciate it all. In my Judy Bloom-reading youth we called such thing a Slam Book; these days it’s hello(!) internet. TripAdvisor is a site that relies on reader criticism to rate destinations, hotels, restaurants and spas. A lot of travelers just won’t book anything unless they’ve gone to the site first. I’m so not one of those people, JS. And I always looked at the site as a sort of travel Slam Book. But I’m about to change my tune on the announcement of TripAdvisor’s latest venture—an airline-rating feature. The system, which launched last week, is a bit more structured than the free-for all on the lodging and destination side. And asks for contributors to rate carriers in various predetermined categories including baggage handling, value, seat comfort and in-flight service. Doesn’t it sound just so fetch?
