Tip of the Day: As soon as possible after selecting them, treat your bridesmaids to a girls' night out, ladies’ brunch or spa day, so that they meet and bond at the start of your wedding planning season.

This early fete for them begins their "bridesmaid team experience" by receiving a treat from you — rather than just spending, spending, spending on bridesmaid responsibilities. And when the bridesmaids mix and mingle over cocktails, manis or macarons, they’ll be far more comfortable working together on your shower and bachelorette party plans.

Tip of the Day: When it comes to creating your dance list, keep your guest list in mind. If it’s multigenerational, as it is for many weddings, try to include memorable dance hits that will resonate with your oldest and youngest guests. Pace the music, too. Most guests — unless they’re aerobics instructors — need a break, so sprinkle in one or two slow songs after three to four fast numbers.

First Look: Eddy K's New Milano Collection

Milan is home to the magnificent Il Duomo cathedral, Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper painting, the iconic Teatro Alla Scala opera theater, and some of the most delicious risotto (and gelato) we've ever tasted. Now the latest masterpiece to emerge from this Italian city is Eddy K's new Milano Collection for 2017.

Inspired by the fashion capital of the world, the Milano Collection showcases dramatic silhouettes, breathtaking lace details, and architectural illusion backs.

Tip of the Day: To get the best turnout, send invites at least six weeks before the wedding. Follow these time-saving tricks to mail them out in time: order invites from a company that will overnight them once they’re printed, organize an envelope-stuffing assembly line with a few volunteers and take a fully assembled sample to the post office and have it weighed one last time to confirm how much postage each one requires (this will help to prevent any mistakes).

After your invitations are mailed out, don't lose that list of guest addresses. You'll need them all again to send Thank You Notes.

The Most Affordable Places to Get Married in the U.S.

Planning your wedding is supposed to be one of the happiest times of your life, but this milestone event can come with a steep price tag, especially if you live in a major metropolitan city. Stressed about how you're going to pay for it all? You might want to consider scrapping a hometown affair for a semi-destination celebration.
